Project BRIEF
Set in the seedy underworld of Victorian England, I knew this project would be all about finding the right balance between contrast and warm highlights as much of the film was lit by candle light. The colour temperature was largely finalised on set.
However there was still plenty of room to enhance the colours and create a stylistic aesthetic, which not only held true to the DOP’s colour scheme, but also added a subtle sense of gritty realism to the piece.
I really enjoyed this project.
