Project BRIEF

I love grading sci-fi. The colours we were able to play with in this grade were a pleasure. The lighting plays a huge role in the emotional journey of the film and I was keen to not fight against the cinematography but embrace the images provided by the DOP. Crossing from cold, sterile, teals and whites to the hot, red/orange hues of hell – this project opened a whole host of look development and I was able to embrace a new workflow to ensure the project remained consistent throughout. 

VFX played a large role in the film, as well as the “plasticizing” of the lead actress to transform her into the titlar doll character. Working with the VFX artist was a treat.
